but really, there is NO need to go above 80. although you should be able to hold 80 in fifth no problem. i've done 400 mile round trips going 75-80 mph(speed of traffic) most of the time and have gotten 22 mpg.
My 85 4Runner will hold 80 all day and hit almost 100. I did that a couple of times and see no real need to go that fast normally. I run about 65-75 and get about 25mpg on the highway.
This is with a cam and header with 4:10's and 31" BFG All Terrains.
