c?mon it?s not that bad...
I think for such a high ride it?s quite stabil especially when cornering niether understeer nor oversteer, unless it?s snowy. Then it get?s really dangerous unless switching to 4x4.
I can accept a crappy top speed but still can?t swallow that I run it to work doing 50-55 mph, mostly freeway and only get 14 mpg, when some of you guys get around 20 Makes quite a big of a difference when paying for the gas

it takes forever for mine to get up to that kinda speed. I would say around 85 max.. u should be pulling around 20 out of ur truck.. check your 02 sensor.. mine was getting like 12 mpg's and that was why.

I own two toys, and one is a toyota. one goes about 80 max (just sorta stops accelerating about then) and the other goes 160, i figure its a good combination. I havn't checked th mileage since the new tires, but i have noticed after a basic tuneup ($60, cap, rotor, timing, idles, and vacuum lines) It has a bit more power on the highway. I'd say replace all your vacuum lines if you haven't, pretty cheap insurance for both proper economy and performance.

My O2 sesor is a brand new denso.
The vacuum lines might have seen their best days:)
Maybe I?ll get some new ones. Is there a kit with all of them to get in USA? Sounds like a thing that?s gonna be hard to find in sweden...and probably much more expensive.

I would think you could just buy some line in bulk at any parts house. The stuff I bought was rated as fuel line for some reason, but it ended up being $1.29 a foot. About 15 feet (4.5 meters) seems to be the right length if you have cruise control and A/C.

These trucks are a bit top heavy for to much hot rodding. Had mine up to 85mph on a curvy country road, it was a little scary, but I was running lights and sirens responding to chimney fire. so it was legal.

'94 4x4 pickup, 22RE, 4.10 gears and stock sized tires(the small ones). I've had it up to near 100MPH once and it could have gone faster. No mods to it at all. Only difference from true stock is I had three sheets of 3.5' wide x 5'ish long x 1" thick marble in back. Holds you down nicely. I'm not sure I'd like to be doing that speed again without a load.

My turbo 22rte with the same tires as you hit 90 and still had some left, but I got scared. You should be getting way better gas mileage than that.

Have you compensated your mpg/mph for the 11% larger tires.

What is the age/mileage of the motor, 14mpg's is really horrible for a 5spd 22re. I would do a compression check/adjust the valves/new cap & rotor, new spark plugs and plug wires. With that low of mpg's eaither you are just dumping fuel down the exhaust pipe, or Sweden has very little petrolium in its gas? What is the octane rating?

You should be able to 8mm vacuum lines, the stuff I use from Germany, it has a braded cloth cover, iT runs about $1/ft locally.

As for speed, my '90 3.0 will cruise at 90mph w/o any problems, I don't normally drive that fast, but sometimes keeping up w/traffic you run that fast w/o really paying attention. I have had it up to 110, and it ran smooth, but then again it weighs 1000lbs over stock weight. Alos w/nearly a 50/50 weight distribution, it also corners rather well for a lifted truck. I have no hesitation pushing it when driving mountain roads, but then again I normally drive at about 80-90% of my vehicles handling ability. However, I do have to drive quite differently when I drive my '91, it doesn't handle all that well.

More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else.

I used something like this. It takes just a hair more than one kit to completely replace every hose, especially if you have cruise control.
