Getting the Wheeling Fever
I haven?t compensated for the tire difference.
My other car shows the same distance, give or take, to my office (about 10 miles ) so I thought the difference would be negliable. Regerading the top speed, with larger tires the truck goes faster than the speedometer shows...right, so maybe mine does 88 mph wich I doubt since it only revvs to 3000 rpm in forth and less fith? The top speed isn?t my main concern since I harldy ever go faster than 60 mph. The thing that bugs me is the gas milage Even with bigger tires I should get some more miles outof each tank...
The engine was overhauled last summer and almost everything is new (check my other thread a while back: http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showf...mp;amp;sb=5&o=14&fpart=1
Gonna try new vaccuum hoses and see...

My best was 4200rpm in 5th gear. I'm on 33's/4.88s.
I'm not sure what the speed was, I didn't have my GPS and I don't trust the speedo.

When mine was almost new, I once it doing an indicated 165 kph (about 100 mph) on the QEW in Ontario with 4.10s and 225/75R15 stock tires. It was late and my BMW-driving buddy was in the passenger seat... scared him half to death. Too funny. Of course I'm far too mature to do that now

Still haven?t driven another Toyota pickup but drove a Mazda B2600 yesterday. It felt like a sports car next to mine:)
Hit 80mph in a heart beat... And he?s getting 23 mpg...go figure. I?d switch to that mazda motor in a second if I could. Yes, it?s a 2.6 litres but it shouln?t make that much difference, should it?
