That's a no brainer. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

http://www.independent4x.com/

Why?

Matt is very knowledgeable about our vehicles, has many aftermarket parts, the parts are packaged and shipped properly, takes the time to answer questions when you call, spearheads new products for our vehicles and goes the extra mile if something is not correct (just to name a few).

All the above is from personnel experience, nuff said.

P.S. To the individual "Dieter" who's going to post after this, care to explain why he's a jerk?
Hey, do I have ESP or what? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

I wouldn't buy from Indy4x, I think that guy is a jerk.

As our rule has always been, please cite specific first-hand experience if you are going to suggest using or not using a vendor. What makes them 'good'? Were you happy with the price, shipping time, availability of items, customer service? What makes them 'bad' (or 'a jerk')? Prices too high, unreasonably long shipping time, unwillingness to work with you as a customer? Give the people asking real information to work with and let them make their own decisions. Otherwise we have a thread chocked full of worthless subjective babble that helps no one.

Matt has been very active/supportive of the Zu community. He was the driving force behind the Aus locker and finds/creates parts for Zu's. Even IF you could find the parts cheaper I dought you would get the knowledge and personal service Indy provides.

I'll put it in bold this time so there is no confusion:

As our rule has always been, please cite specific first-hand experience if you are going to suggest using or not using a vendor.

And the forum doesn't benefit from childish pissing matches either.

Matt at
http://www.independent4x.com/
is far from a jerk.
He's a very nice guy and provides an excellent product.

A few years back, I called him about getting a brush guard
for my '89. Nobody carried a bolt on unit any more,
not even Matt.

However, he told me that if I gave him a little time,
he'd help me out.

I drew up a drawing of what I wanted and emailed it to him.

He took the brush guard off his own truck, too the measurements from it, fabricated one for me and made
the adjustments that I asked him to make to it,
powder coated it, and shipped it too me.

When he said he needed some time, I was thinking a couple
of months or so... I had it on my doorstep in 3 weeks.

Matt sent me an email and let me know how it was coming,
when he was finished and when he sent it to the powder coaters.

When I got it, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed.
The guard looked professionally built, fit perfect, and
is still on the truck today.

Matt is excellent to do business with and will treat you right.

With only 3 posts and all three in this thread, bad mouthing
Matt, I'm think someone is just trying to start trouble.

There's a lot of more of us out here that have dealt with
Matt and are perfectly happy to recommend him than there are
people who trash talk him.

I'll second it that Matt is excellent to deal with , i have ordered from him 3 times now , getting half the stuff I upgraded on my truck. He was very professional and helpful , telling me exactly what I needed when I asked questions and said what I was doing.

When my transfer case grenaded after installing tera lows due to a clip snapping , he was willing to work with me to find a replacement for the gear if I couldn't get it working.Luckily we managed to make it work and its still going strong , with only a little noise.

I would definately order from Matt again , and probably will one day when I have time and money to work on the truck again. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Matt's a great guy and we need to remember that sometimes he gets insanely busy, just like all of us. I've been at his shop when he's doing a complex SAS and getting constant phone calls asking when it will be ready. If he disappointed you by seeming too busy, give him another chance. He's not perfect, but he's probably got a better heart than most of us.
