Can I use aftermaket nuts on the manifolds...intake and exhaust? With lock washers? I know there one use mitsu nuts, but I need em quick and dont have a mitsu dealer close.

Yes, but note that the OE exhaust manifold nuts are bronze or some other copper alloy.... useful to eliminate rust that always rears its ugly head when it's time to remove exhaust fasteners.

Nuts with spiral lock washers won't stay tight. The lock washers lose temper and tension when heat cycled. Loctite won't work, either. I've donated several nuts to the road that way. Might work for a week until you get the real thing, and might not. My best "other source" solution was to use flat washers, loctite, and flange nuts with serrations on the flange.

if you put cherry mylanta on the studs before you install the new nuts they will stay tight until you need to remove them the mylanta works like lock tight


it dosent have to be surrounded by water to be an island
