I have Pep Boys Mud Terrains on the flat bed and they work as well as previous sets of BFG MTs; neither is my choice for the street. I have a new set of USA made house brand All Terrains ready to go on the Montero which will see duty similar to what you would propose. All it took was one panic stop on a wet road on mud tires to make a believer out of me that a higher tread to void ratio is better for street use.
