I have the BFG All Terrains on a VW Westfalia camper, and I think they are great. Very good on road (even in the snow) and pretty good off road...although a 2wd vw camper isn't really a good test for them off road. No more road noise than my old all season tires.

I've also had a set of YOKOHAMA Geolander AT II's on my Mitsubishi and loved them. Very similar to the BFG All Terrain, and easily kept up with the BFG All Terrain which my buddy had on his truck.

There is a good reason why the BFG all Terrain is most common tire you see on the road on light duty trucks and SUV's.....because it's good! (and well marketed)
