I have to appreciate a man with a well thought arguement.

As for the greasecar kit, they are offered for almost every deisel vehicle on the road today, and yes this includes the liberty. It is a well thought out and yet simple system.

As for using an older jeep deisel, yes they did exist however the liberty deisel is quieter, makes more power, is lighter, and more fuel efficent. So the choice is obvious.

As for the wireing, yes the wireing and computer come with the crate kit and yeah, they are going to rape us for the simplicity and completeness of the harness. It is my understanding that all of the factory gauges are reusable and a wireing diagram is included. They really are trying to take as much of the guess work out of it as possible.

The other option is to find a wrecked liberty and salvage the motor and wireing, then buy the adapter from Mopar. Due to the limited availability of the diesel in the liberty, this becomes a daunting task.

Thanks for your thought. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
