i know i sound dumb now but i saw an episode of extreme 4x4 the other day & they did a diesel swap in a samari. they used an old vw turbo diesel & installed the grease system on it. the truck pulled hard & ran smooth & was clean on the grease. they said that you have got to start the engine on the diesel & then switch to the grease & run diesel before you can turn it off. the grease will glog up the fuel system otherwise. on another note. my friends did an xj diesel mod. they put in a 4cyl cummins turbo diesel in a 1994 xj. took them a motnh of work & quite a bit of money. but i am happy to report that they get better mileage & pull harder than my 4.7 stroker in my 93 xj. they also have alot less in the way of electrical issues now & less vacuum too. so take it as you will. they are paying $4.15 a gallon now though.
