it wouldn't be the best idea to remove a leaf from a marlin crawler spring pack because they are electronicly tested and adjusted for spring rate, arch, and length for the optimum performance on and offroad. I would recomend lifting front more (i.e. longer shackles or different springs like marlin's 4" or 5" but just remember NO BLOCKS but who doesn't know that) or reduce lift in rear with shorter shackles. i strongly recomend not removing a leaf from marlin's pack.

its done all the time, it does not hurt any thing it will just have a bit more axle wrap. you cant use blocks to lower it, its spring over axle. a shorter shackle is a good idea too. i would not lift it more, that will raise the center of gravity, excess lift is something that can hurt you on the trail. as 4 crawler said, those springs will settle in quite a bit. its a good idea to run wegigt and do some offroad trail riding to get them to settle. they usually settle about 1-2 inches depending on your shackle length and angle. too short of a shackle and you might need to redo the spring perches to set your pinion angle, that or 4 crawler can make you a shim.
