I have heard a rumor and would like to get some feedback on the matter. I tried a search to no avail. SO...

Is a first gen Rodeo(97) frame the same as a first gen Trooper(86) frame?

I was wanting to do a motor swap and an axle swap with some other upgrades, but I found a good deal on a Rodeo that has all that done. And I thought that a body swap would be easier and yield a nicer product as the drivetrain would stay in stock configuration. Plus the SAS was Pro-done.

What is the verdict?
1) same frame?
2) body swap easier than SAS & motor swap?

Thank you. Caleb

No. The frames are not even close.
