Well, since it's different from the Montero, I can't definitively state, but when I replaced my Raider's fuel pump, the "curved metal tube" goes through the mounting plate, and the fuel pump is then connected to the tube inside the tank via a short length of hose. The metal tube is not replaceable. If it is cracked you'll need to get a new fuel pump bracket. I speak from experience here

If the leak is coming from the connection of the rubber fuel line between the tank and filter, it might be as simple as tightening the connection with a couple of line wrenches, although it sounds like dropping the tank is required to do this. If you do it yourself, remember that the metal pipe fitting is NOT a flare nut (again, voice of experience). You want to disconnect the rubber fuel line at the fuel-filter-side fitting first, which DOES have a flare nut on it, then tighten down the fuel-pump side with a wrench on the fuel pump fitting to keep it stationary.

If your metal tube is the culprit, you'll need to call around to some recyclers and get a replacement. At least, that's what I ended up doing. You'll need the whole bracket because the metal pipe is brazed into the mounting plate and not replaceable. Good luck! I know how frustrating it can be
