I would never crimp outside connections because there is a bigger opportunity to get grime/debris/mud/etc in there.
Always solder and heat shrink.... stronger connection and weather tight... its also much cleaner/nice looking...

Actually solder connections on a wire will cause it to fail faster on a vehicle. Vibration is the killer here. There ends up being hard points right at the ends of the solder. Use a crimp properly compressed, then heat shrink tubing with sealer/glue over the joint.

The Bosch universal one comes with this cool little kit whereby you "make" a connector, screw these little threaded pieces onto the end of the wires, the thread and crimp on as they go down, then teh two halves connect together. I did this on mine a few years ago... when I replaced my exhaust, some !@#$ PO has welded the o2 sensor into place.

Now... I have never felt like the a/f ratio was good after that, always been suspect of that sensor and connection. If I could, I'd go back and just get the one weth the OE connector. My paranoia has not been worth the $50 saved.

Your first problem is using a bosch o2 sensor. they're good for GM's, NOT for toyota's, they dont stick down far enough into the exhaust stream....

Getting the Wheeling Fever
The bosch really do not work. I chased a very lean problem for about a year after I had switched to the Bosch splice in sensor. Finally, fixed it with switching back to the OEM Denso brand 02 sensor. The bosch sensor sticks down into exhaust pipe only 1/4" while the OEM sticks down almost 3/4". No way that Bosch unit can get a good reading.

-1989 4x4 22re(pretty good in the mud)
- custom steel flat bed-oneside of exhaust system, and air box intake off cobra.(doesnt quite have the v8 rumble)AFM off '82 Supra.
