Hey Adam have you tried PIAA Supersilicon wiper blades? I had the same problem on my 89, put these on, and it's been MINT since... expensive but well worth it... burtman sells them.

Havent tried the PIAA, but I did buy some $15/blade Michelin's that are the newer curved shape, and those still streak in the middle. I think theres something wrong with the wiper arm itself. Either the spring is weak or its bent. I'm going to price out a brand new arm at the dealer....wish me luck

#1 common problem across all Toyota models dating way back has to be that at some point they will lose low speed on the heater/blower

Turn LEFT to go RIGHT

How about the turn signal stalk contact noise? Both my PU and 4R sound like an old pinball machine with a bad flipper if I don't fully engage the left or right signal. It usually happens on lane changes when I use the momentary switch.

The non-retracting seatbelts are very annoying along with the speedo squeal at low temperatures.

Another is the driveshaft clunk in 4Runners and auto trans PUs. Just before a stop, the plunging part of the driveshaft sticks and then releases creating a loud clunk and jolt. Frequent lubing helps a bit, but doesn't stop it.

Other than these annoying little problems, my trucks have been rock solid

Other than the fact that everything breaks with big tires..

A few things I have noticed on truck that are 15+ years old, is the horn contacts wear out, clutch slave cyls fail, all sorts of bulbs die, seatbelts dont retract, pinion seals, wheel bearings... again thats after 15-20 yrs so pretty much any vehicle will have these problems over that many years.
