Ok, the raider I bought was towed back to the previous owners house. WHen I picked it up he told me it hadn't been moved since it was towed. When I got in it the t-case shifter was in 4l. Right now I have the tranny/tcase assembly out of the vehicle. Is there anyway to check the transfer case functionality without cracking it open? Like if I put the clutch disk on the input of the tranny and shifted through 2H, 4H, 4L, would I be able to tell if everything is working? And if I do have to open it up, what should I check other than things that are obviously broken?
