Just bought a 1990 trooper with a 2.8 v6 and auto tranny, I believe it's a 4L30E. I would like to know if anyone out there knows if you can determine if you have a factory limited slip diff. from your VIN. If so which number would that be? Tried doing a search, the info is probably allready on this site somewhere but I didn't find it. If your rig has around 200K on the speedo, there is a pretty good chance that even if you have a LSD, it is now toast. The clutches wear out, and there are more cost effective ways of addressing the issue than rebuilding a worn out LSD.
