Funny what throws you for a loop. I got the hard part done--getting that snap ring in the groove through the 3mm space between the input gear and the clutch hub.

I even figured out a one-person technique for installing the chain without having to install the rear and front output shafts at the same time (details soon in procedure that is nearing completion).

But the little things come back to bite you. There's an o-ring on the countershaft that fits through the counter gear; I proceeded to tear up the new one and then the original trying to fit it through. More waiting until the replacement comes.

But its all downhill from here! I'll be crawling soon! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> Sure could have used the gears on this week's trip to Big Bear.
