Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
I've got a spare set of injectors off an 89 V6 that I want to send in for cleaning. Does anyone know if the 89 injectors would be the same as from a 91 V6. If it helps the 89 injectors are brown.
Thx

No, they are different. 89 was the last year for the high impedence injectors. After that they went to low impedence.

As far as I know 88 was the only year for the odd injectors. I have a set from a 92 that won't work for me and I happen to be in Calgary as well, but yours should work. 88 model shows a part number 23209-65010 and 89-94 shows a 23209-65020. http://www.fuelinjectorsdirect.net/catalog/TOYOTA_PICKUP/1988.htm for the 88 V6 http://www.fuelinjectorsdirect.net/catalog/TOYOTA_PICKUP/1989.htm for the 89... Just click the year option to see later years. The 92 injectors I have are brown as well.

If you have a good ohm meter, you could compare the resistance of the two different injectors to see if they are the same or not.
