Yeah, pretty sure... I think... I put it on jackstands and started disconnectinig stuff... Front drive shaft, rear drive shaft etc... rotating the tranny after each was disconnected ... still there ... coupla things I forgot to mention is that right before it started (started while I was driving btw) it seems to have snapped the speedo cable about 14 inches into the cable sheath... That and after I was unable to put it into 4L ... grinds when try... Was thinking it might be a syncro problem...
After posting about the V8 swap, I dug into the forums more ... You guys are great... I learned more in the few hours of reading last night than I have in the last 5 years with AllData and reading the many manuals that I have collected...
Am doing more research into the 3.4 but it sounds like a plan while I work out the noise issue... Only reason I was thinking about a V8 is that I have a spare 305 from a Porche 914 V8 Swap a few years ago <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
