I thought so, the article was very interesting. The car was bad <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" />. I hope it comes over soon, so I can con the Nissan dealership into letting me test drive it. Next movie that comes to mind is Gone In Sixty Seconds (without the theft of course)! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />
I enjoy going to the Rolex Series here in the states. Before I moved up here in BFE, I was found out of town to either Daytona for the 24hr or Sebring for the 12hr. Out of seven years, I have missed the last two, and am missing the tracks.
We would take of of work from Wed. to Mon., and camp in the infield. The four days of constant revs. would leave you hearing them til' the following Wed..
The last bad <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" /> car I can remember was that Audi prototype diesel, before that was the two Bentley's. One of the coolest things I saw was that the diesel Audi team changed out their engine in less than 40 minutes and that put it on the track (without testing) for the 12 hr race, with no problems. The thing sounded like a Goldwing motorcycle, downshifting and up shifting, in and out of turns. Great race and lots of fun!!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
If you have a chance check out the Rolex Races. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

That's some pretty stupid power from a 2.0. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />

Oh, I don't know. What about the 50's BRM V-16 supercharged 1.5L at 500hp? Or the F1 turbo days in the 80's knocking out 1800hp out of a 1.5L. 550hp out of a 2.0L seems easy now, right?
<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

My mistake, the BRM had 600hp at ~12K rpm with 5.7 bar of boost which is of course 82psi <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mrt.gif" alt="" /> Imagine the size of the pistons. Total displacement was 88ci split in to 16, spinning at 12k rpm...all in the early 50's, wow!

Isn't the going rate about 100hp per liter for non-boosted engines?

May be in NASCAR <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Normally aspirated 3.0L V10 F1 engines were been making 800+hp for years. I'm not sure what the current numbers are for the V8's are though.

I typo'ed above. The 80's turbo 1.5L F1 engines made about 1200hp not 1800. Nigel Mansell once complained that he was still getting a gentle rear wheel spin at the end of the straights at Brands Hatch <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mrt.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Anywho, Brianawd's numbers seem reasonable to me if everything is built accordingly.

Thought some of you may enjoy this. Its my Friend Paul Nelson's White evo. Car was built and tuned by a friend also Lucas English of englingracing.com.

Motor is still a 2.0 gt45r and lots of other *****.
Any way first trip to the dyno on the new setup for this year
and the car puts down 1081awhp at only 41psi. They were having to ignition break up but should have that fixed some time this week.

Body Damage is Cool
Man, with about 15 secs left in the vid, the guy in the jumper got real close to putting a foot down on the roller. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

Nice cars. I have a 97 Prelude that I was going to build up, but have lost interest in it. I would prefer RWD or AWD. Have a lot of parts for it to push about 400-500 to the wheels....JE pistons, Ferrea valve train, Skunk 2 Intake manifold, Eagle rods, etc.
