For whats its worth I figured it out. Had to get PO'd walk away and have a beer. Went back fresh like I hadn't done a thing. Dawned on me why the relays were chattering and why any more than one accessory running cause d everything to drop out.
Took a volt reads at a couple relays under the dashboard hood (remember this is a Previa we're talking about <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />)
7-8volts at best. An electrician buddy stopped by to help think it thru. We got to tugging on the Positive battery cable (which had already been inspected) and noticed the bulbs dimmed and a relay started ticking. Took the battery/alternator harness out, completely unwrapped it etc. Followed the path of the primary alternator output wire and noticed it fed back into the main body harness (after a slice or two) at plug connector. Movement of that plug connector seemed to trigger the trouble. The male end of the plug looked a little wet and crusty which is odd for a weather-proof Toyota termainal. The female primary wire contact looked burnt and after I picked at to clean it a little half of it fell out.
To make a an already long story shorter...I bypassed that plug connector by digging into the body harness and splicing in a fresh piece of #8 THHN stranded. Shrank and taped her all back up and viola!
The door locks work like acharm (they had been spotty) windows fly up and down and my kids are happy. Getting rides with their mother to school was cramping their style.
Thanks to all that pitched in!
