Diesel is also rising because demand is going up at this time, depending on where you live. In Alberta, I think we still have a couple of refineries running at low capacity for maintenance or fires, and my brother who works at the heavy oil upgrader pointed out that farming is starting up and the farmers are buying a lot of fuel.

It seems to me we get a few months of diesel costing more than gas, then a few where it's lower.

As long as I'm driving this vehicle that is paid for, and gets twice the mileage my YJ did, I'm happy.
