Getting the Wheeling Fever

I have a 3.0 V6 that doesn't idle consistenly when cold. I know its supposed to up the idle until warmed up, and mine does do that, but it goes up and down erratically. I checked the cold start injector and the resistance is within spec, but I'm having trouble finding the switch to test it.

91 SR5 Xtra Cab, 298000km, 4" lift, 56" rear springs, 33-12.5R15 BFG Mud-Terran T/A KM2.....and an '85 axle still waiting to go in.
