It seems like these are done quite often, especially on the gen1s. My question is: Instead of doing an engine swap and sometimes swapping drivetrains as well. Wouldn't it be easier and make more sense to just take the body and set it on the frame of something else? It seems like that'd be so much less work. Am I way off? Or is it pretty comparable? Figured that way it would just be remounting the body to a new frame and wiring everything up to the body. That to me seems to be so much easier, what am I missing?
