AAMCO diagnosed it after taking the tranny out. Electrical components are fried. Mentioned poor design for cooling in Rodeos/Passports/Pathfinders. Will cost me upwards of $3500 in total to get the car back working again (includes the tranny rebuild). Or pay $1000 for their labor troubles to get it back broken as it was. It's a 95 with only 110k miles and I'd hate to toss it but money-wise it doesn't make much sense as it is a 2nd car and it is aging. I told them no.

The only other thing to consider now is if I go somewhere else and have them put in a used tranny. Are the electrical components like all the solenoids, pressure control, temp sensor harness, etc. all already in there?
