Need a Spot

On my 22RE I've always had trouble getting a seal between the stock exhaust manifold and the first exhaust pipe. I have been buying the recommended gaskets from Walker but I usually end up doubling them up to get a seal. Is there something wrong with my flanges or are the Toyota gaskets a little thicker? Thanks in advance for anyones comments.
