Need a Spot
Hey guys, first post here. I'm adding a/c to my 84 yota, but can not find the compressor wire under the hood. The rest of the installation was prewired under the dash. If it was prewired shouldn't the compressor wire be near the battery? I've read and read forums looking for an answer.

Or, where does the compressor wire come from under the dash? I have the factory relays and fuses.

Thanks

Does anyone have a picture or

Compressor wire is black with a white stripe, and has a white connector (single wire). It goes into the main harness under the dash by the ECU. (This is how my 88 V6 is setup, whould be the same for yours. Check the FSM link stickied in the top of the forum to find out for sure)

Body Damage is Cool
It's the connector in the upper right corner.

This is viewed looking down on the engine compartment fuse box. It comes out of the black cable with the black elec tape.

Thanks for the picture fourwd. After looking, my truck isn't prewired for a/c. I did find a wiring diagram of the a/c system and ran a wire from the amplifier to the comprssor.

Thanks again <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
