Need a Spot

I have a question for anyone that can help. I found a 1999 or 2000 trooper and was wondering if a 3.1 liter out of a 93 grand prix will fit in place of the stock 3.5 that was in it. i konw that there will have to be some mods but will it bolt. any help is appreciated thanks for your time.
