me so sorry <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />. if we are keeping to the name rights then eah jeep is not a dodge raider. but because i don't own a manufacturing plant and if i call my rig a jeep i won't be sued for name rights. therefore i use the name "jeep" because i guess it became a common name for 4wd(in my mind at least, in russian d'jeep is a common name for all 4wd, or at least it is used so).
hey what should i call it after the mod? as i think i will get to pick the manf and model. i remember someone that did a diesel implant in a suzuki ended up changing the manufacturer to "Suzie". i wonder what mine should be called, "frankie" as in Frankenstein, or "MitsToyoVolksDodge" as in mits body, toyota trans and volks engine under dodge name. G the options are limitless, TDIRaider, oh i will have to squeeze the Acme Adapters name somewhere, dam...i got it.. "MTVDA" mtv da!?!?!?

p.s. eah that is my point really, with the price of 7K for a half cut and all else it will be easier to buy a japanese import diesel toyota 4runner. recently there came out several direct importers that hold inventory here in ontario. I'm quite sure my calculations are acurate, 1-1.5K or so for a parts car, ~800 for an adapter kit, 0.7K-1.2K for engine refresh and all other parts to make the swap(depending how bad it is this price might actually include what i paid for the raider), so total is not too far from 3.5K. again cheaper than any other option you will find out there, believe me i did my research.
