It will be interesting reading more about your project as it progresses and as Charlie noted I'm sure plenty will have some insights on engine transplants although yours will likely be the first TDI into a Mitsu on this forum.

As for Raider vs Jeep nomenclature, in the US it's quite common to hear crap from a minority of Jeep owners who think lesser of our Mitsu's... (until we strap them out of an obstacle we made it over <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> ) so this is why we take it a bit more seriously when our Mitsu's are refered to as Jeeps. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
