Interesting thread. I picked up a '90 VW Jetta 1.9 IDI turbo with the intent of stuffing the engine in a lil 4x4. I took a 2.3l diesel from a Ford Ranger and transplanted it my 89 D50 last winter and I love it.
There arent too many Raiders in this country, but when I get my hands on one, the swap will start. Or I may find another D50.
A fellow here used Acme adapters kit to put a 1.6 in his 1991 Chevy Tracker 2 yrs ago and has it up for sale $6500.00
A lil high I thought. Says it works great, but needs a minivan now.
