I'd say!

The Craigslist value for 4-cyl Raiders/Monteros ranges from about $200 to $2500 in California. This range is what I've observed over the last two years. Most have the common head and transmission problems. I looked at one a few days ago with 278K miles on it, the asking price was $1200. Needed u-joints. I picked up my Raider for $1K 2.5 years ago with 84K miles, now 55K miles later and lots of repair. Best car/truck I've ever had!

Scrambled post or not, the punctuation keys are right near the letters. "Shift" will really help define your sentences if nothing else.

$100 per ton is way low now. The price of scrap metal is at an all-time high and climbing. We're paying $10.25/100 lbs, equal to $205/ton.

The highest price I've seen is $12.00/100wt or $240/ton..... just depends on overall market conditions and local competition.

I paid $900 for mine, 141k rust free from New Mexico. Had a bad carburetor but came with a rebuilt starter and carburetor in boxes in the back. I then bought two more for $500 for both. A 91 (152k miles) RS and 88 (119k miles) with offroad goodies. The 88 was a rust bucket but I pulled the LSD and Bouncy seat frame and the rebuilt 2.6L (owner said about 40k miles on the engine) and 5spd out of it. My buddy bought the 91, it had thrown the harmonic balancer. He drove it for a few days after we fixed that before it blew a head gasket. We're going to rebuild the motor soon, since it's super clean, rust-free from Arizona.

There were still saleable parts on the Raider, hub caps, mirrors, rear window glass. Oh well.

The interior was pretty stained up everywhere and all of the body panels had rot holes through them (including the hood!). The front windshield was cracked and the rear window was getting the white opaque stuff starting all along the bottom. The aluminum rims went on my buddies 91 RS and his bare steel wheels went on the 88 (sans the only two good center caps). I did keep all of the lens, gauges, radio center console. It certainly didn't look as stripped out as yours!
