So my trans started to slip today in first-second shift. I was near a trans shop I have dealt with in the past and he got me in. The tech comes to me and says I need to replace this round valve/port/thing on the right side of the trans that is leaking and I'm looking at 2hrs labor and a $25 part.

I know next to nothing about these Trans. I rebuilt my old C-6 years ago, but that is a super-simple 3 spd. These are a different thing all together.

So does this sound resonable or am I getting hosed? What the heck does this thing do anyway?

Thanks! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

THAT IS THE SERVO PISTON COVER THAT IS LEAKING, ABOUT 12.00 FOR THE PT. AND AT THE MOST 1 HR LABOR , THE BACK END OF THE DRIVE SHAFT DOES HAVE TO BE MOVED , AND THEN THE PISTON IS REPLACED . NO BIG DEAL. JERRY
