The dealers must have a cash incentive to move the 07's. The 05 and 06 Rubicons are still over $20K up here. I was at the dealer this weekend getting a blown speaker replaced and they had several in the 22 to 24K range.
All the 07's put out on lease are hitting the 10K mile mark and coming back at under $19K with factory options and warranty.
I've had 4 Jeeps with the inline six, great motor but like the legendary 22R out of production so buying a new Jeep with one isn't an option. I've been happy with the V6. I'm getting good gas milage and it's got enough power to climb the mountain passes in 6th.

The aftermarket industry will catch up to the V6, considering the popularity of the current Wranglers it wont take long. Just look at how many different brands of lift kits for JK on the market.
The I6 will be around forever, just the the 22R it's a proven off road motor thats here to stay.
If I was building a dedicated trail rig, hell yeah TJ with the six. For DD I'm happy with the gas milage of the X and all it's creature comforts.
