Getting the Wheeling Fever
I wanted to check if I can replace the center console for my 1997 4Runner with the one from a 2000 4Runner.

Any comments are much appreciated.

Roll Me Over
It should be a bolt in swap. You're going to need everything including the shifter boot. It'll be nice to have the cupholders (any console from 99-02 should be the same)

Need a Spot
The swap has been done before, but its not quite as easy as unbolting the old one and bolting the new one in. First the ebrake handles are a little different, your 97 comes straight out while the 99+ are angled slightly to the right. Second they moved the rear window switch to the dash in 99, yours is on the center console, so you will either need to build the switch somewhere in the new console or put it somewhere else.

Thanks for the replies.

Are there any notes/sticky on how to do the changes?
