On a side note, I do get a single clunk once in a while when turning and compressing the wheels at the same time. It was explained to me as a bad "half-shaft", I didn't really trust the guy. It still makes the noise occasionally I never heard of "half-shaft" before so I left it alone.
On this link on page SA-46 is what some people call a "half-shaft. Toyota calls them a "Front Drive Shaft". It is the front axles that go from the diff to each wheel. They have a CV type joint on each side and if you wheel IFS you should carry one or two. They are the same for both the PS and DS.
