I know, I know I am driving ya'll nuts, but this problem WILL NOT GO AWAY IT SEEMS and I am at my wits end. If I cant cure it I am gonna sell the truck.

Ok I fixed my brakes, they work great I got new drums and new shoes and took back the shoes I got at napa which sucked.

Now onto my vibration:
At take off you feel what I can only describe as perhaps a stutter. When you take off it almost feels as if something is wiggling. The t-case lever actually wiggles side to side during this takeoff and seems to move alot more than I would expect. At higher (btwen 35-50+) speed there is a slight vibe, no stutter/wiggle but the vibe remains. It happens under moderate acceleration, coasting or light acceleration and you cant feel it at all.

I have:
-Had it to a driveshaft shop where they apparently replaced some kinda stud, and balanced my driveshaft and replaced the carrier bearing.

-I had the guys at my shop check all the mounts. The motor mounts seem fine, the tranny mount had some play but very little. Transfer case looked as if it may have touched the underside of the cab body, slight rub mark there-perhaps with torque it rubs..i dunnno.

-When changing gears it clunks into gear in R or D. I was assured my U-joints are fine, but I am thinking the clunking means they arent. The driveshaft guy said he woulda replaced them otherwise.

-Last thing is the shifter linkage will not work properly. You must jamb it into park and even then if your on an incline the truck rolls slightly and it locks into park. I have adjusted it 2x now and for awhile its fine, then it gets sloppy again. Thinking its related to the u joints too.

So I have a tranny mount coming monday and gonna try that, if that dont work I am gonna do u-joints. I cannot think of anything and I mean anything else possible that could cause this besides perhaps I damaged something while 4 wheeling and having no other t100 to compare it to on hand I cant narrow something like that down.

Like I said, if it cant be cured its a money pit and I think ill go buy an F250.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Just buy mine. It doesn't do any of that stuff and will still be going strong when that F-250 is in the landfill.

Lemme put it to you this way: I love my truck, I just dont understand how I can take it to numerous shops and each and everyone cannot figure it out.

Body Damage is Cool
Your shift linkage comes out of adjustment you say? How are those body mounts?

Youve diagnosed no problems with the transmission itself? Sorry if these are redundant questions to other posts (just moved and havent been keeping up with the "saga") <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Its an auto, body mounts appear fine afaik-really havent looked at them much.

However I did have a chance to check in with my shop. My mechanic showed me exactly what the trans mount looked like when he had it off. All 4 corners are slightly ripped and coming off the metal. Possible cause of my wiggle..

We had a new mount, sadly I think they gave us one for either a reg cap T100 or a 4Runner/Truck as the 2 of the 4 holes the mount into the x-member dont line up. Getting a new mount tommorow and hopefully having it fixed weds latest.

As for the shifter linkage, the auto column shift was really bad after a wheeling trip I think. I could put it into what I thought was park and in reality it was in reverse and would roll away with the truck on or off. Adjusted it once and it was better, but then got sloppy again.

Trans shifts great, no issues at all as far as we can all tell (3 different mechanics with over 100yrs expierance between them all). My own boss took it for many a ride and said it might be the driveshaft, took it to the driveshaft guy and like I said he replaced a stubshaft, a carrier bearing and balanced both D/S F & R. Said the u-joints were good and when we checked them my mechanic agreed they are good. Same for the motor mounts..

But like I said I have:
-A wiggle kind of vibe on take off
-A vibe around 35-55mph thats kinda slight, you feel it in the seat. Got better when the driveshaft work was done
-Sloppy shifter linkage
-When changing from R to D it clunks in.. Possibly related to shifter linkage.

YES! It looks fine when it's under the weight of the driveline! But when I took mine off it was obvious it was coming apart.

In other news T100 are worth $14k?

YEA!!! All 4 corners looked okay when it was under the weight of the truck, but once we took it off all 4 were cracked. Im stoked this could be the problem.

And 14k, his has 50k and its mint-but thats alot of dough..12k maybe. All mine needs is this issue fixed and some new rear leafs or reworked ones and it will be grand with 200k.
