I occasionally get spam email messages to my cell phone (got one Saturday), yet I'm registered on the do not call registry.

When I still had a land line in my house (over 5 years ago) I got a constant barrage of solicitation calls...far far more than calls from family, friends, and work combined. That was one of the main reasons I decided to do away with a land line altogether. I know some folks feel they can't do away with theirs for one reason or another, but I'm glad I nixed mine. In the 10 years that I've been with my current cell company (yes, same company for 10 years straight), and in the 14 years that I've had cell phones, I've knowingly received only one sales call during that time. Prior to about 6 months ago, I'd never received any commercial text messages or email to my phone.
