Ok, so I crushed more than one
This is in a stock 4.88 V6 IFS front chunk.

This side axle bearing was also trashed, so a new one is on order.

Had my original 4.10 front diff, so it got a regear and an aussie locker so it was ready to go before I pulled the broken one.

I saw your ad for the front 4.88 a few days after all my parts came in, timing is everything right?

I was running 36" TSL radials on the front, but I downsized from those and I've got 34" LTBs on all 4 now. I'm pretty sure I know when it broke, I was out at Underhill's in the mud and heard it pop.

Body Damage is Cool
Wow, I would expect that that ring gear would be really chewed up. Must be mucho stronger material than the spiders.

Yeah, I still got em. I haven't pulled them out of my 4runner yet. You can e-mail me about em if you want Nix at wjr1975@embarqmail.com

You'll be a lot happier with that Aussie in there than you were with the spiders anyway. That's next on my upgrade list.

Depending on who you talk to, your front end will be actually less likely to break with the Aussie too because you won't have spinning tires slamming into the ground and taking all the shock anymore. It will be balanced between both tires now.
