Thats how I pulled my 2.6l out for my Turbo swap. I was actually able to come in from the top on bell housing bolts so it wasnt to bad.

I mounted my IC in about the same place as mentioned. I picked up the same skid plate with the expanded metal grill on it. I also reworked my front bumper to have more airflow to the IC.
