What would make a good replacement for the shifter boot on a 1987 Trooper? My Æ87 has the æroundÆ shifter boot. My previous Æ87 and my Æ91 Troopers had the æsquareÆ or ærectangularÆ shifter boot. The date of manufacture on my current Æ87 is January 1987.
Apparently, there were 2 different shift boots for the 1987 Trooper, and they are both on back order from Japan. My other question would be since the date of manufacture is January 1987; would this Trooper have the 17 spline front axles or the 24 spline front axles? I really donÆt want to remove the auto hubs until I know for sure. I have a brand new set of Superwinch hubs that I want to use, but they will not work if I have the 24 spline front axles. When did Isuzu switch from the 24 spline to the 17 spline front axles?
