Need a Spot
Im having trouble with the gearshift on my 95 trooper. (P-R-N-D-3-2-L). It seems to have a shortend range now. ex; when i put the car in park, it wants to stay in reverse(i have to use the ebrake to actually park my car, and hold the gearshift forward to start it)--and it wont even go into the low gear anymore. are there adjusting bolts somewhere, or are some kind of bushings worn out?? hard or easy fix? please help.

I don't know about a 95 but on the later models the mode switch, also called the range switch, frequently acts up. A good cleaning is usually all that is needed. Do a search for all the details.
