I just got my Monty going after 3 years after I bought it from a guy here that took it apart and could not fix it. Any how just wanted to know what kind of MPG you guys get and what tire size as well.

I have a 1990 4 door V6 Auto I have 30x10 on it now I have a set of I believe 34x12 as well but I not sure I will run them at all I am for the most part going to run it as a Daily Driver. At one time I was going to make it Turbo I made/modded stock manifolds so I could run the ex around the front of the motor. Then I just said it was to much work and put stock stuff on other then Ported heads on it I am stock with every thing more or less new on the motor runs great so far got 300 miles on the new motor. Think it runs better then my 2004 car I got any how. I just wanted to say hi. So HI

1997 Montero LS with a motor swap a 1990 V6 12valve ported heads full 2.5in Ex I run stock tire size for Daily use, off road have 33x12.5 working on going trubo.

18 is the best I've gotten with 31's and a tail wind. I've gotten close to 20 with stock tires. Around town 13-15 max Worst ever was 10 MPG with a 40 knot head wind near Victorville, CA . I could just hold 55 mph in the slow lane with the big rigs.

My 2.6 SWB is averaging 16-17mpg around town with a small amount of highway. Stock 225 tires. I'm hoping with the winter fuel blends going away I'll pick it up to 18. My best so far was in the 19-20 range. My Dakota averages 12-13 on the same drive (5.9L gas guzzler - it's best was 18 mpg going through Ohio on my way to Michigan).

My 87 Raider returns 14-18 with the 33's, depending on weather conditions, where I fill up, and the terrain I'm traversing. Subtract 1-2 mpg when towing my various trailers, especially with a 110-gallon water tank off-highway.

A 90 4dr 3.0 267,000 heads rebuilt 2 years agos with LT235/75/15 Bigfoot AT's I get about 16.5-17 MPG. If I tow my 66 chevy short bed trailer with 3/4 cord of wood, I get around 14-15 MPG.

17 mpg on stock tires right now. Not sure why, I *was* getting 18+ back before Christmas. I was thinking maybe the winter blend of California gas, but I'm pretty sure that has cycled through the pumps by now.

Gen2 with 3.0 and 4.875 gears with 265 75R16 street tires, my best was 21.5 all interstate, 19average, 16-17 around town.

Gen1 with not 100% running 3.0 on 31in MTs with 4.636 gears, 18.5hwy, 15-16 town.

Both with snorkel and it is going to make your engine die a premature death K&N engine killer.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

89 Montero Sport 3.0 V6 5speed, 183K miles on 31's. I average 17, 17.5. Would love 30 but, hey, it's paid for and it runs
