It's ok i'm really not that into gen 1's. i like them but gen twos and threes are more my thing. I personally think every year monteros changed for the better and has evolved into one of the best 4x4's ever even though the gen 3 and 4 are Independent all around which isn't that great for serious rock crawling they still are more capable than the previous models in stock form. I would prefer a SWB Gen 2 and i know LT would take a hard top SWB gen2 in a heartbeat especially if it had the round headlights. My personal weapon of choice and in my opinion best montero for the job is the Gen2 blister fender SWB I'm not sure they made a j-top in this body style but if they do i'm all over it
