I am trying to do some research before starting a new thread. Did you find your cure?

I replaced the sending unit on my girl friends 99 rodeo and now it seems to have the same problem. It takes 10-15 seconds cranking before it will start, once it starts it runs fine. If I mess with the key and run the fuel pump about 3 times before I turn it over it will start normally most of the time. Any suggestions? Is there a way an excess of air in the lines between the regulator and pump are the issue?
