Hello all,

Well, my 93 Troop ran one minute, and when I went to restart, nothing. This happened a week ago. Everything was fine since then. Until today. I shut down for a few minutes and the engine would not restart.

So, here's what I have determined so far:

Engine turns freely and will fire up when ether is sprayed in. Dies again when starting fluid burns off.

Fuel pump fuse and relay swapped, with no change.

Based on searching past posts, I tried to jumper across the fuel pump relay to test pump operation. The fuel pump relay has 4 pins; with the key in the "on" position, I am getting hot power at one of these locations. I don't know which other pin to jump to, so I tried them all. I heard nothing. I'm not experienced with FI, so I wasn't sure what I was supposed to hear. Does someone need to be under the tank at the same time to listen? Can the fuel line be disconnected under the hood to check operation?

So, that's where I sit. Are there any further diagnostics I should run before the hard stuff begins? I really hate to buy an expensive pump and find out it wasn't the problem.

THANKS for your advice.
