The stock wheels are 15 x 6 with 4" and some change backspacing. They will handle 31x10.50x15 tires with no problem.

I'm running that tire size right now and have had those tires on since I put on the Eibach lift. I've now traded just the rear coils out for Stock TJ coils because the Eibach rear coils started to sag and they are no longer manufactured so you can't warranty them.

With this wide of a tire you'll end up using quite a bit of wheel weights to balance the tires, and they will never stay balanced because of the much wider tire width over the rim width.

Stock height Sportages with stock wheels can fit a 235 with no problems, but you might get some rubbing when fully articulating the suspension.
