I'm making a universal spanner right now. I just bought a 3 foot piece of 1"x.25" flat stock from Home Depot for 7.50.....a couple of grade 8 1/4" bolts from Ace for 1.36....just have to go home and fire up the chop saw now.

I tend to prefer the Motive gears from ringpinion.biz

The E-locker uses the usual V6 gears but I prefer to use the Motive 4 cylinder gears and simply use about a .215" shim(Motive gear based) to make everything work out nicely.
