Need a Spot

I have a 1993 jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.0. I think my head gasket is leaking bad. It is blowing a bit of white smoke out the exhaust. Anywho...I want to replace the gasket. Is this something I need to pull the motor out for or can the head be pulled off with the motor still inside? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />
