If Russell's suggestion doesn't fix it, you can swap it with a junkyard axle. You want to find one that has the LSD. There's an orange sticker on the driver's door jam. Make sure the donor has the same gearing; you can check the data plate under the hood, passenger side front.

If you plan on doing any wheeling, and don't mind modifying it from stock, then it would be a very good idea to put in a rear end from a Gen2 SR. Lots of advantages if you plan on getting it dirty. writeup here
